壁にかけられているドローイングは、抗議運動に参加する方や機動隊の方から伺った言葉をもとに、11年間の出来事を描きとめたものである。右に置かれた装置は、これに乗ることで、抗議の時に機動隊が人を持ち上げ、運ぶ際の抗議者の身体の型をその状況に近い姿勢を取ることができる装置。
報道ではしばしば「排除する」という言葉が用いられる。しかし現場に同行したり、お話を伺う中で見えてきたのは、単に「排除される人」ではなく、尊厳を守るために身体を使って抗う人の姿である。そう考えると、決して排除されているわけではないのかもしれない。むしろ仰向けの体によって、機動隊そのものを背負っているかのように見えてくる。また、この問題を背負うのは私たち自身であるのかもしれない。

In news reports, the term “removal” is often used. However, from accompanying people on-site and listening to their accounts, it becomes clear that these individuals are not
merely “people being removed,” but people who use their bodies to resist in order to preserve their dignity. Viewed in this way, they may not be removed at all. Rather, lying on
their backs, they seem to bear the weight of the riot police themselves. Perhaps it is we who bear this issue as well.
