Conversation.differences unconsciously arise between the words one person utters and the words the other receives. In this regard, conversation is never completely established. However, the conversation is seemingly going on. What is happening?
In this performance, we focus on translation as part of the process by which conversation takes place. The performers use each mediums to translate space, situation, and each other and attempt conversation.

会話をすることとは何か。ある人が発する言葉ともう一人が受け取る言葉の間には、差異が無意識に生じる。その点で、 会話が完全に成立することはない。しかし、会話は一見進んでいるように見える。何が起こっているのか。 当パフォーマンスでは、3 人のパフォーマーが英語や日本語といった共通言語を使わずに会話をする。そして、その会 話が行われるプロセスの一部として翻訳に着目した。パフォーマーは自身の経験に基づく媒体ー存在しない言語、身体表 現、マイクから鳴る音を用いて、空間・状況・互いを翻訳し、会話を試みる。 また鑑賞者から写真や動画募った。交差と場の変遷を感じるであろう複雑な存在である「鑑賞者」という役割にも視点 を置き、コミュニケーションという概念を、空間を共有する総体として捉え直している。
